The character of Tadelakt.
A faithful reproduction of Marrakech's traditional waterproof lime plaster. Polished with a smooth river stone and finished with olive-oil soap, it produces a continuous, stone-hard, water-tight surface with a distinctive warm glow.
Naturally waterproof
No synthetic sealers required: the saponification of lime with olive-oil soap creates a calcium-stearate barrier.
Joint-free & sculpt-able
Apply over curved walls, alcoves, vanities and bath surrounds without joints or visible breaks.
Living patina
Develops a softer, more luminous patina over years of use: gracefully ages rather than degrades.
Antimicrobial by default
High alkalinity inhibits microbial growth: ideal for humid wellness environments.

Tadelakt is an ancient Moroccan lime plaster traditionally used in hammams (steam baths), made waterproof through an arduous process of polishing with a serpentine stone and saponifying the surface with black olive-oil soap. CALMURA Tadelakt Natural is supplied as a high-purity slaked lime base with natural mineral pigments and the proprietary CMR-Hammam soap finish. The result is a continuous, joint-free, water-tight surface ideal for spa walls, residential bathrooms, sinks, soaking tubs and sculptural curved features.
